Ohhh Larry!

Recently reported, CBS 3 news anchor, Larry Mendte is being investigated by the FBI.

The FBI searched Mendte's house seizing items, including his personal computer. They are looking into the possibility that Mendte was hacking into his former co anchor, Alycia Lane's, personal e-mail account.

There is a controversy on who filed the complaint. Mendte's lawyers are saying the complaint was filed by Lane, but her lawyers have issued a statement that the FBI pursued this on their own, and this his client had no idea about the situation.

Paul R. Rosen, Lane's attorney stated this is client was "shocked when she learned of any invasion of her privacy."

CBS has taken Mendte off air, "pending further investigation".

What is weighing on your mind?

April 22, 2008 is a crucial day for Democrats. The elections in Pennsylvania could determine which democratic candidate will be on the ballot in November.

Some democrats are asking Hillary Clinton to step down from the race, so Barack Obama can run an effective race against John McCain. Clinton ignores the calls, and is campaigning hard in the Keystone State.

The issue laying heavily on voters minds is not whether or not to end the War in Iraq, rather to pull them out quickly or take a longer time. Both democratic candidates realize that they need to tell the voters how they plan to pull our troops out of Iraq.

Both candidates support a phase withdraw of troops, but Clinton's approach will take longer. Her plan seems to be hitting better with voters, as she is ahead of Obama.

What means more to you in this election? Health Care? The war? Gas Prices? What are you going to do the change it?

Vote, this Tuesday, April 22. Visit www. pennsylvania.gov to find your polling place.

Ride a Train, not a Plane!

More than 3,000 flights provided by American Airlines were cancelled this week.

These massive cancellations are due to the airline company struggling to deal with the Federal Aviation Administrations' regulations. The FAA came under heat a month ago when it was made public that they were not enforcing safety regulations for other airlines. American Airlines claims that since the FAA came under scrutiny, they have been struggling with their own regulations.

American Airlines cancelled hundreds of flights last week for repairs, but they proved not complacent. This resulted in the massive cancellations this week. Airline mechanics are checking the electrical wiring in all of the MD 80 airplanes.

The airline company is paying for housing, meals, and giving travelers checks to the passengers that they could not get other flights for. The airline has paid off enough debt to be able to with stand the huge deficit they will face.

Does this story make you feel safe about flying? Does it make you worried that the plane you may be flying on may not be up to date with regulation standards? Or do you feel good that airlines are doing everything they can to make their planes safe, even if it means canceling thousands of flights?

American says that all their planes should be ready for flight by the weekend.

Corruption at its best.

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has recently been liked to a high-priced prostitution ring. This is such a hit the New Yorkers, because Spitzer is known as the squeaky clean Governor that fought hard against crime and wall street corruption. His wife stood by his side at a press conference today, where he said that he did wrong and apologized to the people and his family. He never fully disclosed his involvement in the ring, saying he would not take questions. Fellow politicians are calling for his resignation, but it is thought that he is not planning on resigning, at least yet.

It was reported that he booked Feb. 13th with a prostitute named "Kristin". He was paying to send her from NY to DC on train, and all of her costs while there. Her booking fee is $4,300. The club is name the Emperors Club, and they have prostitutes under different diamond categories. A 3 diamond girl costs $1,000 and hr, a 7 diamond girl would cost $3,100 and hr, and the highest paying could be $5,500 and hr.

Random violence

Work hard, study hard, be good hearted, good comes to you. You succeed in society and go to Heaven. That is the ideals of Protestants, and to me, is just common sense. You work hard, you succeed. That isn't true so much anymore. Innocent people are getting gunned down on a daily basis now. I come home from school today and see that to college students were shot to death in the East Coast. The Police aren't sure if the shootings are related, and now to young women, educating themselves to better the world, are dead. Eve Carson, pictured to the left, was the student body president at UNC. Lauren Burke, not pictured, was at student at Auburn University. I have to be honest, my head turns everything I hear something when I walk on the street. My eyes and ears are open constantly, wondering if I will make it home. The world is a different place then when my father was my age. But I am determined to not let it affect me. I promise I will succeed and better myself and others.
